Sunset Skippers Canyon & Kimiākau Valley

I am drawn to this spot time & time again, it's the light!

During an Autumn colour photo pilgrimage to the Mackenzie & Central Otago I took a gamble to leave the wonderful Autumn trees of Arrowtown, trusting that the light in the Skippers Canyon looking NW was going to be epic, I was right! Normally this time of year there's plenty of light snow about, but our unseasonably warm Autumn resulted in incredible warm brown tones of the tussock hills. The trip into the Kimiākau Valley is one of the great road trips of the world (facts), but not for the fait hearted.

Sizing:
