Kia Ora folks. I'm from Te Waipounamu the South Island of Aotearoa New Zealand. I've been taking photos of our country for as long as I can remember, starting at my high school geography field trip, where the mountain creeks of Arthurs Pass National Park flowed over bedrock down to the braided rivers of Canterbury. I went on to get a degree in geography and taught high school geography for most of the 1990s. Eventually a Masters in Information Design came calling, exploring how to make weather information more accessible. Seems I like telling stories about the physical world around us. I've lived in Ōtepoti Dunedin for past 20 years+, but the entire south is my home. Having studied the landforms & skies above NZ at university, I approach my photos with a wonderful appreciation of how these were created & continue to evolve and shape Aotearoa, & our lives. After a stint working digital media design, I have been a freelance photographer for over 15 years.
